Board of Directors

Kids Who Care is a non-profit corporation governed by a Board of Directors. The KWC Board, KidPower Board, KWC Staff, and Committee members retreat annually to create a sound financial plan for the corporation. The Board of Directors, KidPower Board Members, and full time Staff meet monthly to review and revise this plan. In addition, the Board, in cooperation with the KWC staff, reviews policy and procedures related to the operation of the business.

The Board's primary function is to develop and implement a resource plan to assist the organization in securing grants and donations from the private and corporate sector. This is accomplished through two committees; the Resource Committee and the Cookin' for Kids Committee. Individual Board Members are expected to contribute resources, time and contacts to this process.

In addition, the Kids Who Care Board governs four committees dedicated to the support of the Staff in the day-to-day operations. These committees include the Resident Company Committee, Camp Committee, Production Committee, and the International Committee. Committees report their progress at each Board Meeting.

Board President- Paige Pate

Kids Who Care 2010 board president Paige Pate is an active community volunteer in Fort Worth. In addition to her work with Kids Who Care, she also serves on the board for the Junior League of Fort Worth, the Kupferle Health Board of the Texas Health Harris Methodist Foundation and the Fort Worth Country Day School Parent Faculty Association. Ms. Pate has just completed work at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History as the Public Phase Coordinator for their recent $80 million building campaign. Additionally, she has chaired many fundraising events for worthy causes, including the Junior League's Inaugural Christmas in Cowtown Holiday Gift Market, the 2009 Design Inspirations and Kids Who Care's annual Sugar Rush event.

The Advisory Board consists of community leaders who support the mission of Kids Who Care in the community. These individuals either have served on the Board of Directors or have served as Chairs of our Membership Campaign, Cookin for Kids or our Annual Campaign. They provide valuable advice to the Executive Director and are counted on to be champions of Kids Who Care.
